Heat Guns

Heat guns are commonly used in physics, materials science, chemistry, engineering or other laboratories or workplaces. Different types and temperatures of heat guns with different airflow configurations can be used to remove paint, shrink sleeves, shrink film, and shrink wrap, dry wood, melt bent plastic, soften adhesives, and defrost ice, piping, etc. Some types of heat guns are used in electronics as desoldering and rework surface mount circuit board components. A heat gun can also safely simulate overheating conditions on a device for testing overheating protection mechanisms.
